Just Hanging Out

Just hanging out with Mic and thought I should let you know how he's doing. His temperature today has been 98.8. So to say that he's normal, well. . . I can tell you he doesn't have a fever. ( : Thank you for your prayers! The antibiotics seem to be helping. Nurse just came in and took his temp. and he's 100.5.

Chemo treatment ended Friday. Besides the frequent trips to the bathroom, he had not adverse side effects. Still has his beautiful dark, wavy hair! Saturday was rough simply because all he wanted to do was sleep. . .he had no energy. He also had the world's worst nose bleed Saturday night. It took about an hour to stop bleeding. A doctor had to come and pack his nose.

Currently he's battling some kind of skin issue. They gave him extra platelets to help clot his blood, but ended up with what looks like an allergic reaction. He has some bumps on his scalp, face, chest, back and inside his upper lip. They hurt, so it's very annoying. An infectious disease doctor is monitoring his skin.

Thank you again for all you have done to support us during this time. Consider yourself hugged!

Warmly,
Wendy

We want you to know that we are sending you warm thoughts, and we pray for you each day. All is well in the neighborhood, and everyone has been thinking of you. By the time you get home, Mic, the trees will be blooming, and the flowers will be budding. Just in time to enjoy the warm weather. We are just a few feet away..call if you need anything, Wendy!

All ya need to do is rub a little sweet tea on the rash and it'll go away. Amazing stuff that sweet tea.

T is always trying to push that southern food and drink. Next he will try to tell you to rub Mic down with boiled peanuts.

Was waiting for an update, but sorry to hear of the rash. Hope they get that under control soon. Good luck with the sweet tea cure. (Almost sounds like something you would read in the book of Job! You know, friends trying to find a cure for a rash.) We "hug" you & your family every day in our prayers.
Love,
Barb & Fred Wells

Hi Mic & Wendy! Was so sorry to hear about Mic. It seems that God challenges us when we least expect it. Another phrase that I really like is "If God takes you to it, He will see you through it!" Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you! Cousin Sue and Don
