Feeling Better

Yippee! He's feeling a lot better today! The infectious disease doctor switched up his meds and the new ones seem to be working. He had a restful night sleep because his temp. remained around 100. The rash also looks a lot better.

The doctor told him that 2/3 of the time they don't know what is causing the fever. When the white counts go back up, the fever tends to go away. His counts are still working there way down. Today is a good day, tonight and tomorrow may be very different.

This morning his temp. is 99. He ate breakfast. . . frosted flakes (that just tasted crunchy),toast and juice. He'll take a shower today and hopes to get in a couple laps around the unit.

Today is a good day. Still taking one day at a time!

Warmly,
Mic and Wendy

Side Note: Tonight Woodridge HS is hosting a fund raiser called, "Hoops for Troops." The money they raise will support HEROES HEALING HEROES, the 345th Combat Support Hospital. There will be raffle baskets, fun activities and an entertaining game of basketball. Doors open at 6:00, game starts at 6:30. Go team go!

Hi Mic
Hank Waite glad to hear you are doing better yesterday, sorry it has taken me so long to post a note. Life has been way to busy. I have been able to read some of Nan's updates from Wendy and now finally have you on my own.We both have been fighting the crude for over two and a half weeks, so we have not wanted to come over but have certainly had you both in out constant prayers. I pray that today will be a great day for you and that the Lords sunshine will shine in on you.
Love Hank and Nan

Mic,
Pat Ciccantelli from Aurora High School. I have read the entries on the blog and it is easy to understand that this is a very difficult time and issue. You are in my prayers and the prayers of many others. I wish you well and hope to hear about a speedy recovery. I look forward to the chance to say hello in person.
