Praise God! The CAT scan of Mic's lungs came back clear! I couldn't help but be concerned that something had possibly spread to his lungs. God is good!
His temp. reached 105 at one point so they put him on a cooling blanket, pumped him with extra Tylenol and stuck ice bags in his arm pits. He said he felt like a fish packed on ice. ( : This morning his temp. got down to 99, but seems to want to hang out at 102. He still has his lovely red rash. It should go away in the next 5 days.
His doctor said that his white cells are still working on bottoming out. They should reach there lowest sometime this week. He's then due to have another bone marrow tap next week. It's all a waiting game and nothing is definite.
To those of you that have subscribed to the posting updates, please remember to praise God for all the good that is taking place. We know what he has, they know how to treat him, and everything is going along as to be expected. Those of you that know Mic can understand that the nursing staff has grown to love him and do all that they can to meet his needs.
Because of the chemo, his taste buds don't work so his food tastes and feels like mush. He has forced himself to eat to keep his strength, but is starting to get sick to his stomach just at the thought of food. He will start drinking Carnation Instant Breakfasts so that he is feeding his body. He said to let you know that he is drinking his water like a good little boy.
He received more blood and platelets over the weekend. Thank you again for going out of your way to donate. What he really is needs is some peaceful beauty sleep.
Thank you again for making time to offer prayers and praises!
Warmly,
Mic and Wendy
Side note: He just received an envelope in the mail with a book titled, PUT YOUR DREAM TO THE TEST 10 Questions to Help You See It and Seize It by John C. Maxwell. It came with an encouraging note from a representative of Maximum Impact, Dr. John Maxwell's former company. The book also contained Dr. Maxwell's signature. For those of you that know Mic, this honor ranks up there as if it were a visit from Arnold Schwarzenegger! This just made his day! Thank you, Ernie Graf! He said this has your name written all over it! ( :

Good heavens...we leave for six months and everybody falls apart!
You know we're praying (heavily) and we've got our folks here doing the same.
Love you guys,
Susan Waters

Fear thou not: for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
